ICC Women’s T20 World Cup: Emirates partners with 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme
This initiative is aimed to empower female cricket talent
DUBAI: At this year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Emirates is playing a crucial role in advancing the sport by supporting the 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme.
This initiative is aimed at providing world-class development opportunities for aspiring female leaders in cricket.
Launched during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, the 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme has been dedicated to promoting women’s cricket by shifting perceptions, creating heroes, and generating excitement for women in the sport.
To further this cause, Emirates is offering exclusive fares and discounts to participants in the 10-month Future Leaders Programme. These benefits will enable participants to access global learning experiences, engage with mentors, and help build the next generation of female cricket leaders.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, now in its knockout stages, is being hosted in the UAE, with matches taking place in Dubai and Sharjah.
The tournament has seen thrilling performances as Australia faces South Africa in the first semi-final on Thursday, 17 October, and New Zealand battles the West Indies in the second semi-final on Friday, 18 October. The final is scheduled for Sunday, 20 October.
Emirates is also enhancing the fan experience with on-site activations, including roaming Cabin Crew offering keepsake Polaroid photos in custom frames. Earlier this year, the airline renewed its global partnership with the ICC, committing to support 28 ICC men’s and women’s events through 2031, including World Cups and T20 tournaments.
As a global partner of the ICC, Emirates continues to provide transport for umpires and referees, and its branding remains a prominent feature across major events, further solidifying its long-standing commitment to the sport.
